The Horse and Groom, St. Leonards-on-Sea

The Horse and Groom Pub, and St. Clements Restaurant

The Horse and Groom is the oldest pub in St. Leonards-on-Sea. It opened its doors in 1829, for the workers who were building the new town of St. Leonards. So great was the need for a  pub, that the Horse and Groom was supplying workmen with beer before its windows had been glazed.

This popular busy pub has a discerning clientele who appreciate high standards, and it’s famous for its real ales.

You will find this lovely pub and the excellent St. Clements restaurant right behind the Marine Court in St. Leonards-on-Sea.

Take this door to the lady’s room and you enter the St. Clements restaurant.

Neat little place. No need to go anywhere else.
