The Jewish cemetary – la Cimetière Israëlite – on the Chateau in Nice.
This grave is on the new Jewish cemetary, on higher grounds, just above the old one. Nice has a large Jewish community, since many centuries.
No trace of vandalism here. There’s a police station right behind the cemetary, with vicious guard dogs on the premises, who will bark as soon as people try to enter the cemetary after opening hours.
One of so many tragedies.
The grave of Isaac Isayevich Rodin.
View on Vieux Nice from the Jewish Cemetary. On the original (large) photo I can see the windows of my appartment on the left of the dome of the Sainte Réparate.
